Hey, I’m Kayleigh! I am currently on mission with Impact Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I have the privilege of developing and overseeing our special education program for children living in informal settlements. Our program, The Royals, provides a safe and nurturing space where children with diverse learning challenges can receive the support, dignity, love, and individualized care they deserve.

Across South Africa, children with disabilities often face heartbreaking barriers; rejection, misunderstanding, limited resources, inadequate access to medical care, and increased vulnerability to abuse. For children living in poverty, these challenges are often even greater. There is an urgent and desperate need for advocacy, intervention, and opportunity for these children and their families.

In my role, I oversee the day-to-day programming of The Royals by developing curriculum, managing enrollment and documentation, equipping and supporting our teachers, and meeting with parents and families. I also advocate for our students as they work toward receiving formal diagnoses, which opens doors to long-term school placements and the specialized support they need to thrive.

Day by day, one child at a time, we are watching God meet seemingly hopeless situations with the power of His love. We are witnessing children grow, reach milestones, discover their abilities, and make meaningful progress through The Royals. The work has only just begun, and it is made possible through your generosity, prayers, and partnership.
