Hi! I’m Amber, and along with my three boys - Lian, Caleb, and Brandon, we are serving the Lord in Peru, specifically Jicamarca, which is an impoverished community just on the outskirts of Lima. 

I have been working with my brother Keith Smith and Frontera Missions for the last 4 years, to reach the lost in Peru. Each week, we get out in the community and hold in-home Bible studies, helping believers grow and better understand their faith. Also, we have a children’s program on Saturdays where kids can learn more about who God is, play games, learn worship songs, and earn prizes for memorizing verses and reading their Bible during the week! Other ministries involve women’s meetings, where we learn from God’s Word, fellowship together and hold different workshops such as baking, jewelry-making, crafts, and much more. We have planted Iglesia Frontera (Frontera Church), and are dedicated to see each believer grow in the Lord and train them to reach their own community. 

Aside from working in Lima, we are able to share Christ and minister out deep in the Amazon jungle, working with several different tribes, teaching and training believers in those villages. In the Amazon, we’ve also joined together with a network of pastors, holding pastor’s conferences, encouraging these leaders to continue the work of reaching the villages they serve in. The goal is to work together and assist these pastors in serving God, as they often feel alone and separated from other believers/pastors. God is working among that group and in their churches!
