Hi there, I’m Ruth! In 2016, on a short-term missions trip serving in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Lord told me I would one day be in full-time ministry, living overseas. Now, I have been living in Johannesburg, South Africa, serving as a full-time missionary since January 2021! I have cherished every moment, knowing that I am living in the Lord’s promise!

 I have joined staff at Anchor Church Joburg, where I will be serving as the Outreach, Production, and Youth leader. Our mission at Anchor Church is to build a vibrant church that will share the hope of Jesus with the city of Johannesburg. 

My role focuses on AWAKEN, our youth ministry where students age 13-19 can come to explore and enjoy who they are in Christ, develop their relationship with the Lord and other believers, and be equipped to be sent out into their homes, schools, and futures; PRODUCTION, I get to lead our Sunday morning teams, coordinate live-streaming and social media strategies, and use media to expand our reach; and OUTREACH, I have the privilege to help mobilize and engage our congregation to serve their communities through events like our annual “Serve Day”.
